Breakups hurt. You can heal. Here's how.
Closure matters. It's the feeling that lets you move on. Lucy felt lost after her breakup. Then she accepted it was over. She healed. You can too.
Try these steps:
- Feel your feelings: Grieve. Miss your ex. It's okay.
- Take care of yourself: Do things you enjoy. Walk in nature. Meet friends. Try new hobbies. Josh painted. He rediscovered himself.
- Get support: Talk to friends. See a therapist. Don't go it alone.
- Set boundaries: Limit contact with your ex. Use the no-contact rule. Give yourself space.
- Learn from it: Think about what went wrong. Also remember the good times. What did you learn? What would you do differently? Use the past like a library. Visit, don't live there.
- Forgive: Let go of resentment. Forgiveness frees you, not them. It's your key to moving forward.
- Write your new story: Set goals. Be the hero of your life. Ask yourself: What makes you happy? What does success mean to you? Then chase those answers.
Remember: Your breakup doesn't define you. It's one chapter. You're the author. Write your next chapter.
The best is coming. Believe it.
